LA RAMBLA, Los Angeles County — Residents of the unincorporated La Rambla neighborhood should know which law-enforcement agency serves their address.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lomita Station expressly lists La Rambla in its service area alongside Lomita, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and parts of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The station is at 26123 Narbonne Avenue, Lomita, and its general telephone number is 310-539-1661.

Emergencies and routine questions

For a crime in progress or immediate danger, call 911. For nonemergency matters, residents may contact the station or consult its instructions for filing appropriate online reports. The station also offers a Virtual Deputy option for certain questions or reports that do not require immediate response.

A San Pedro mailing address does not always mean the Los Angeles Police Department is responsible for ordinary calls. County boundary confirmation is especially useful before requesting service, though emergency dispatchers will route urgent calls to appropriate responders.
